The term biome is used to describe a region in which the  environment, plants and animal life are suited for one another.

There are four different biomes: forests, grasslands, deserts, and tundra.

  In similar environments, similar  plants and animals live and grow together creating a plant community.
 

Plants and animals in every region adapt to their surroundings or environment.
